Robert A. G. Wong, M.A., M.C.I.P., C.M.R.P.
Partner, The Resource Management Consulting Group
Robert has a strong background in social research and planning. Since 1986, he has taught survey design, qualitative methods, quantitative data analysis and new research technology at Georgian College. In 1994, he became Co-ordinator of the post-graduate Research Analyst Program, and is responsible for the development, delivery and monitoring of curriculum. In addition, Robert conducts numerous industry seminars and workshops regarding the importance of sound social research and marketing research for clients including: Institute for Citizen Centred Service, Ontario Public Service Quality Service Initiative, Canadian Evaluation Society and Ontario Ministries of Agriculture & Food and Tourism. Robert has an enthusiastic commitment to his students and strong linkages to the research industry through his involvement with the Marketing Research Intelligence Association, Canadian Advertising Research Association, the Canadian Evaluation Society and the Travel and Tourism Research Association.
Through his teaching and consulting, Robert has become a leader in social research techniques, specializing in strategic planning for community-based organizations. He has been involved with many community projects, including:

Finally, he has volunteered on national, regional and local boards such as the Marketing Research & Intelligence Association (formerly PMRS), Travel & Tourism Research Association - Canada Chapter, Midland - Penetanguishene Tourism Consortium, Ontario's Lake Country and the Greater Barrie Visitor & Convention Bureau. He was Conference Chair for the 2007 national MRIA Conference. In 2000, he was a guest at four universities in Australia and Hong Kong lecturing on the innovative use of palm computer technology for survey research in the tourism industry.
Robert holds a Masters of Arts from the University of Alberta, an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario in Geography and a certified Canadian Institute of Planners. He is a Certified Marketing Research Professional.
Peggy Staite-Wong, M.A.
Partner, The Resource Management Consulting Group
As a partner in The Resource Management Consulting Group, Peggy is responsible for the ongoing affairs of this Barrie-based company. She has a wealth of research experience, in the environmental, tourism and small business fields. Her skills have been developed during the past 25 years as Project Manager and Research Analyst with her own company, as well as IEC BEAK and MacLaren PlanSearch (Lavalin) in Edmonton, Alberta.
Peggy is an experienced project manager with strong written and oral presentation skills. She uses both primary and secondary research techniques, such as questionnaire surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, workshops and secondary research to prepare strategic plans and develop policy. She has prepared, written and analyzed surveys for a wide variety of clients including Blue Mountain Golf and Country Club, Botanix, City of Barrie, Deloitte, Downtown Collingwood BIA, Gallop+Gallop, Links for Women Golf Schools, Living Green/SuiteWorks, Midland-Penetanguishene Tourism Consortium, Orillia Community Development Corporation, Parks Canada, Snow Valley Resort, Toronto Ski Club and Tourism Barrie. She has developed focus groups, workshops and seminars for clients such as Canada-Ontario Business Service Centre, City of Barrie Leisure Transit & Works Department, Environmental Action Barrie, Gryphon Theatre, Honda Canada, Georgian College, Honda Canada Manufacturing, Nottawasaga Community Economic Development Committee, Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, Parks and Recreation Ontario, the Simcoe Country Training Board and York Region.
In 2004, Peggy received the Order of the Spirit Catcher Award by the City of Barrie in recognition of her outstanding commitment and contribution to the lifestyle of the community for her involvement with the Barrie Arboretum. In 2007, she served as Program Chair for the national Marketing and Research Intelligence Association annual conference, held at Blue Mountain.
Peggy holds a Master of Arts from the University of Alberta, specializing in Geography and Resource Management and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, specializing in Geography. She is also a certified trainer for One Smart World, a system to help individuals think, problem-solve and collaborate for success.
